Toronto

Destination: Toronto, ON

Length of Stay: 3 nights (May 2018)

Lodging: Glen Rouge Campground ($45 CAD/night)

Unfortunately we didn't get to spend too much time seeing Toronto since we had to take care of some maintenance for the truck, and we needed some down time after walking 10+ miles a day in Montréal. However, we did take an afternoon to visit the zoo which gave us a small taste of what wildlife to expect during our future trip to Banff National Park in Alberta. Although, if you plan to do a day at the Toronto Zoo, it's a bit on the pricey side with one adult ticket costing $29 CAD and a parking fee of $12 CAD (as of May 2018).

Niagara Falls

Destination: Niagara Falls, ON

Length of Stay: 1 night (May 2018)

Lodging: Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Niagara Falls ($53 CAD/night - offseason)

As we made our way down south towards New York, we made a quick stop in Niagara Falls. This is only about an hour and a half from Toronto, so definitely do-able as a day trip from the city. However, Josh's sister was graduating college in Pennsylvania so we continued south the following day over into the U.S. It was definitely worth the visit, especially since we were able to find free parking within walking distance to the falls. Personally, we thought the Canadian side had a better view of the falls than the American side but that is just our slight bias. If you want to get up close and personal, there are ferries running up the center of the Niagara Falls river from both countries. Make sure you pack a poncho because everybody we saw get off the boat was soaked!
